Funeral services for Elias T. Johnson, 78, of Huxley, who died Wednesday afternoon at Broadlawn hospital in Des Moines, were held at Palestine Lutheran church in Huxley Saturday. Death was attributed to cancer.

Never having been married, Mr. Johnson who was born at Lisbon, Ill., June 25, 1862, leaves three brothers and one sister. They are Albert Johnson of Canton, S. D., Andrew Johnson of Fairview, S. D., C. C. Johnson of Kanawha, and Mrs. T. J. Seaboe of Huxley.

Relatives from here who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. J. O. Twedt, Mr. and Mrs. Eli Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. M. O. Ferkin, Mrs. Caroline Ferkin and Arnie J. Johnson.
