THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, October 2, 2009.

C. Gordon Sanders, 95, died Friday, Sept. 25, 2009, at Allison Care Center in Lakewood, Colo. His remains were donated to science. A memorial service is planned for 2010.

Sanders served with distinction in World War II, and then married Margaret Seagraves. He came to Iowa State in 1950, where he was a professor of engineering graphics. He retired in 1984 as a full professor and former department head.

Sanders is survived by his two sons, Paul and Mike; daughter-in-law, Linda; two grandchildren, Chelsea and Leah; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret (Midge).

Contributions to Iowa State University in his name would be appreciated.
