THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, September 4, 2009.

Dorothy Lorraine Jones, 90, of Ames, died Saturday, Aug. 29, 2009, at the Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, Adams Funeral Home in Ames, with Pastor Todd Jenks officiating. Burial will be at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Dorothy Lorraine Jones was born May 11, 1919, in Frazer, to George and Alice (Showers) Landals. She graduated from Madrid High School in 1937. On July 27, 1940, she married Cecil Jones in Maxwell.

Survivors include her granddaughter, Kimberly Harrington; great-grandson, Justin Harrington, of Omaha, Neb.; and two sisters, Marjorie Nutt, of Boone, and June Gibson, of Madrid.

Her husband and son, Larry, preceded her in death.
