Ida Hope Thompson Arends died Friday, May 15, 2009. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Stevens Memorial Chapel in Ames.

Ida Hope Thompson Arends passed away Friday, May 15, 2009. Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at Stevens Memorial Chapel, 607 28th St., in Ames. Burial will be in Colo Cemetery.

She was born in Bentonville, Ark., married in Ames, and lived for a period on a farm near Jewell. She and her family relocated in 1947 to Omaha, Neb., and in 1953 to Castle Rock, Colo. She resided in Westminster, Colo., and Arvada, Colo., during the last 10 years of her life.
