THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Donald Ray Hill, 82, of Story City, passed away Sunday, June 14, 2009, at home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 19, at Elim Lutheran Church in Randall. Burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation of family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, June 18, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Donald Hill was born May 18, 1927, in Algona, to Torkel and Olive (Skeie) Hill. He married Irene Bringle Dec. 28, 1952.

He is survived by his wife, Irene Hill, of Story City; two daughters, Leslie (Jeff) Satre, of Story City, and Katie (Tom) Gandek, of Bolton, Mass.; one son, Larry (Arlynne) Hill, of Grasonville, Md.; one brother, Kenneth Hill, of Sunnyville, Calif.; and seven grandchildren.

Memorials may be designated for Riverside Bible Camp or Elim Lutheran Church.
