THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, June 17, 2009.

Brian Fowles, 48, died peacefully Wednesday, June 10, 2009, at Genesis East Hospital in Davenport. A graveside memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, at Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Brian was born April 28, 1961, in Ames, the son of Virgil and Patricia (Peterson) Fowles Sr.

He is survived by his father, Virgil Fowles Sr.; two brothers, Virgil Fowles Jr. and Mike Fowles; one sister, Pamela Price; nieces and nephews; his longtime partner, Janet Gilbert; and his best buddy, Elmo, his dog.

He was preceded in death by his mother.

He will be missed and remembered by his family and friends.
