Troy Lynn Jacobson

Troy Lynn Jacobson, 22, of Story City died Monday at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines of injuries suffered in a Hardin County auto accident. Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at St. Petri Lutheran Church, with burial of the cremains at a later date in Story City Cemetery.

Mr. Jacobson, at student at Des Moines Area Community College, lived in Story City all his life.

He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Cheryl and Ron Hoffmann of Story City; his father and stepmother, Bruce and Linda Jacobson of New Palestine, Ind.; a sister, Stacey Thiessen of Beeville, Texas; a half-sister, Kathryn Jacobson, a stepsister, Tara Brown, and a stepbrother, Paul Brown, all of New Palestine; his grandparents, Avonelle Hefflefinger of Ames and Beverly and John Christensen, Les and Doris Mathre and Les Hoffmann, all of Story City, and his great-grandparents, Harold Noah of Nora Springs, Kathryn and Clarence Erickson of Alexandria, Minn., and Amos and Selma Thompson and Luella Christenson, all of Story City.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, where the family will be present from 6:30 to 8 p.m.
