DR. JOHNSON, FORMER AMES RESIDENT, DIES

DES MOINES (UP) - Dr. Charles Johnson, 67, died at the Iowa Lutheran hospital here after a week's illness Tuesday.

Dr. Johnson, a Des Moines resident for more than 30 years, had been associated with Still college since 1915.

Dr. Johnson was born in Monroe, Wis., and came to Iowa with his parents to settle near Ames when a small child. He attended the Ames public schools and was graduated from Iowa State college in 1891.

He is survived by his wife, a son and daughter and a sister, Daisy Ann Johnson of Ames.

Private funeral services were held Wednesday with burial at Ontario.
