O. H. Halverson Former Resident Of Ames, Dead
O. H. Haverson, 54, former Ames resident, died Saturday at his home in Scranton, Ia. friends hear learned Sunday. He had been suffering from influenza but had been at work Friday.
Funeral and burial services were held at Tama, Ia., Monday morning. Services at the grave were conducted by Masonic lodge Members at Tama.
Mr. Halverson is survived by his wife Katherine and a brother at Slater. He was born In Hauge, Norway, Jan. 10, 1882 and came to this country at an early age. He was employed by the Chicago and North Western railroad, for many years, most of which were spent in Ames. He was a member of the Lutheran church and of several Masonic orders including Eastern Star and White Shrine.
The Halversons, who lived here at 711 Fifth street, left Ames about three years ago.
