Mrs. Wilson Dead After a Long Illness
Mrs. Belle Wilson, 61, a resident of Ames for nearly 39 years, died at her house at 607 Sixth street, at 6:15 a. m., Wednesday. She had been ill with cancer since last September and had been confined to her bed since January.
She was born in Boone county September 17, 1874 and came to Ames in 1897, shortly after her marriage to O. E. Wilson. She was active in the affairs of the Church of Christ and a member of the local Rebekahs.
Surviving her are her husband and a son, Carl, at home; one brother, George Truesdell of Ames, and three sisters, Mrs. Adda Morehouse, Mason City; Mrs. Florence Otto, San Francisco, Cal., and May Truesdell, Ontario. Another sister, Mrs. Villa Jones of Boone, died three years ago.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p. m. Friday from the Adams chapel. The Rev. Jack Finegan, pastor of the Church of Christ, will read the prayer and members of Marion Rebekah lodge will be in charge of the services. Burial will be in the Ames cemetery.
