GRANDSON OF ROLAND COUPLE DIES IN WIS.

ROLAND—Robert Dale Jerdeman, three year old grandson of Mr. and Mrs. T. I. Sampson of this place, died Monday afternoon at a Reedsburgh, Wis. hospital from injuries received when he fell 65 feet in a garage elevator shaft 10 days ago. The boy suffered a double fracture of the skull and never regained consciousness after the accident.

Robert Dale was the only son of Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Jerdeman. His mother was the former Amy Sampson of Roland. Mr. Jerdeman is a teacher in the Reedsberg schools and the family visited here every summer.

The body will be brot to Roland Tuesday night and funeral services will be conducted from the Bergen Lutheran church Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. M. O. Sumstad will be in charge. Burial will be in the Roland cemetery.

The lad was a nephew of Harold Olson and A. I. Wierson of Ames.
