Train Brakeman Is Fatally Injured At Nevada Friday

NEVADA—Thorson Gilbranson of Valley Junction, brakeman on a Rock Island freight, was fatally injured here early Friday morning when he slipped from a tank car being switched in the company yards here and both legs were cut off below the
knees.

The company's local physician was called and Gilbranson was rushed, to Iowa sanitarium, where he died from shock and loss of blood about 6:30 a. m.

The body was taken to Valley Junction for funeral services and burial.
