Mother Of Ames Residents Dead At Des Moines

Mrs. Nancy Reeves Deaton, 78, mother of Mrs. Ossie Freel and Lawson Reeves of Ames, died Saturday at Des Moines.

Funeral services are to be held Tuesday afternoon at Carlisle with burial in the cemetery there.

Mrs. Reeves had visited in Ames on many occasions and was well known here. She was born in Indiana and moved to Iowa when two years of age. She had spent the major portion or her life in Polk county and has resided with her daughter Mrs. Albert Ruggles in Des Moines for the past 10 years. Mr. Reeves died 23 years ago.

Surviving besides the daughter in Des Moines and son and daughter here are a son, Floyd, of Carlisle, and a daughter, Mrs. Scott Freel of Arriha, Colo. There are also 27 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren surviving.
