THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Thursday, February 19, 2009.

James F. Cobb, 88, of Gilbert, died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2009, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Committal service with military honors will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 21, in Oakwood Cemetery in Pella.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, Feb. 20, at Grace United Methodist Church.

He had served on executive staffs of Associated General Contractors and the Asphalt Paving Association of Iowa until 1971. He retired from the Iowa Department of Transportation in 1986.

He is survived by his wife, Leona; and three children, James R. Cobb, of Otley, Curtis A. Cobb, of Virginia, and Christine E. Pfohl, of North Carolina.

Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home of Pella is assisting with arrangements.
