Luther M. Rood, 65, of Huxley died at his home on January 20,2009.

Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, January 27, at the Soderstrum Riis Funeral Home in Slater..

Luther served in the military and was a veteran. He enjoyed his family very much.

Survivors include his wife, Catherine, daughter, Melody Mariner of Ames, son, Luther of West Des Moines, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
