Margaret E. Danielson, 96, Luther, died Wednesday, Aug. 21, of complications of surgery at Mary Greeley Medical center. Funeral services will be held Monday, Aug. 26, at 1:30 p.m. at Sonderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater. Burial will be in Story Memorial Gardens, Ames.
Born Dec. 12, 1894, to Jorden and Mary E. (Savage) George, in Brumlie, Mo., Margaret Danielson moved to Kelley in the early 1900s and moved to Luther in 1968. She had three husbands: Alfred DeLong; Frank Toll; and Howard Danielson, who died in 1964. She worked most of her life as a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter, Mary Bergeson of Luther; one son, Frayne Toll of Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Emma Kelso of CrocKer, Mo; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her three husbands; one daughter; three sons; one granddaughter; two sisters; and five brothers.
Visitation will be Sunday, Aug. 25, from 3 to 6 p.m. at Sonderstrum-Riis Funeral Home in Slater.
