W. H. LACEY DIES HERE MON MORNING
W. H. Lacey, died Monday at his home, 503 Gand avenue after an illness of six weeks. Death was caused by a complication of diseases. Mr. Lacey had been in poor health since he suffered a stroke of paralysis five years ago.
Born on a farm north of Colfax Mr. Lacey spent he early life in that community. He was married in 1878 at Mitchellville. He came to Ames in 1922 and has lived here for the past three years.
Surviving besides his wife are four children. Mrs. Joseph Sharp, Des Moines; Mrs. Mabel Jeffries, Racine, Mo.; Mrs. Fern Box, Omaha; and Howard Lacey of Des Moines.
The time for the funeral services has not yet been set because of snow blocked roads. Services will be held at Mitchellville.
