MRS. HIPSHIRE DIED IN TEXAS
Lived in Story County More Than Half a Century - Resided for Many Years on River Banks at Soper's Mill.
Word came to Ames this week conveying the intelligence of the death of Mrs. Ammon Hipshire, which occurred at the home of her son-in-law John Shearer, near Houston, Texas. Susan Hopshire was born in Germany in the year 1818 and passed away May 27th, 1909 at the age of 91 years.
Mrs. Hipshire resided in this county for over fifty years and had been married for more than 65 years. She and her husband figured most conspicuously in the early history of Story county and removed from this place to Texas a couple of years ago to make their home. Mrs. Hipshire is survived by her husband and several children.
