Eleanor McConnell, 101, of Des Moines and formerly of Nevada, died Friday, Nov. 7, 2008, at Union Park Health Services in Des Moines. Memorial services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 10, at Nevada First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ). Inurnment will be in Nevada Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will precede the memorial service beginning at 11 a.m. at the church

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the music department of Nevada First Christian Church.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of services.
