Aged McCallsburg Pioneer Is Dead

MCCALLSBURG — J. N. Bales, 84, a pioneer of Story county and long time resident of McCallsburg, died recently at the home of his son, Frank, in Ontario, Cal., it was reported Saturday.

Mr. and Mrs. Bales, who have been living in Marshalltown for the past few years, left a few weeks ago to spend the winter with their son. While on the way Mr. Bales caught cold. He died Tuesday.

He is survived by his wife and the one son, Frank. Funeral services will be held at Albion, Ia., at 2 p. m. Wednesday. Burial will be in Albion.
