THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Tuesday, October 7, 2008.

Milford "Miff" B. Romsey, 91, of Story City, died Sunday, Oct. 5, 2008, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames. Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Story City. Burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Bethany Manor Chapel in Story City.

Miff Romsey was born April 8, 1917, on a farm near Randall, to John and Carrie (Berhow) Romsey.

He is survived by his wife, Loraine; one son, Dennis (Sheila) Romsey; one daughter, Dianne (Terry) Wycoff; two brothers, Ray (Alice) and LaVerne (Colleen) Romsey; one sister, Millie Olson; one sister-in-law, Frankie Romsey; grandchildren, Ian Romsey, Kaitlin Romsey, Christopher (Tara) Wycoff and Stephanie (Todd) Volz; and great-grandchildren, Hailey, Kiley and Jenna.

Memorials may be designated to Bethany Manor or Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City is in charge of arrangements.
