Pioneer Story City Resident Dies Early Sun.
STORY CITY—Ole Lund, 88, pioneer resident of Story City, died at his home here Sunday morning about four o'clock. Death was caused by complications due to old age. Mr. Lund had been a resident of this vicinity for more than 63 years and had resided in town since retiring from farming 11 years ago.
Besides his wife, the following children survive: Mrs. Ben Dyvig of Stanhope, Mrs. H. O. Torkelson of Story City, Mrs. Ira Christensen of Des Moines, Mrs. Carl Olson of Los Angeles, Cal., Ole C. Lund of Jewell, and Theodore Lund of Story City. He also leaves 14 grandchildren and one brother, Jens Lund of Rochester, Minn.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 1:30 p. m. from the home and at two p. m. from the Immanuel Lutheran church with the Rev. T. T. Heimarck officiating. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery.
