Virginia "Jenni" Dziallo of Longmont, Colorado, passed away August 11, 2008 at the HospiceCare Center in Louisville, Colorado. She was 47 years old.

Born April 18, 1961, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Virginia and David Meeks (former residents of Story City), Jenni attended the Roland-Story Schools from third grade to her graduation in 1979. Then, she attended Northeast Missouri State (now Truman University) in Kirksville, Missouri, until her graduation in 1983. On June 13, 1987, she married Richard Dziallo in Chicago, Illinois after their meeting in Ft. Worth, Texas, where they both lived and worked. From Texas the couple moved to Rochester, Minnesota, where their three children were born. Then, in 2000 the family moved to Longmont, Colorado.

Jenni will be remembered for being a devoted mother who liked to sew, garden and read. Following the political scene, she enjoyed the absurdities. This offbeat sense of humor helped her through her fight against the cancer that won.

Those who survive include her husband, Richard; two sons, Richard D. (19), David (18), and daughter Elizabeth (15) of Longmont, Colorado; her parents, David and Virginia Meeks of Sun City, Arizona; her brother, Patrick Meeks of Brooklyn, New York, and niece Lauren Meeks of Aurora, Illinois.

Memorial services were held in Ahlberg Funeral Chapel and Crematory in Longmont on August 15, 2008. Chaplain Jackie Hibbard of HospiceCare of Boulder and Broomfield Counties officiated.
