JACOB H. JACOBSON OF STORY CITY DIES
STORY CITY - Jacob H. Jacobson, 75, Story county supervisor and former mayor of this place, died at his home here Tuesday morning about 11 o'clock of cancer of the stomach.
Mr. Jacobson, who has been in ill health for the past year, has been bedfast for two weeks.
Born in Haugland Os, Norway, Mr. Jacobson came to the United States when a young man. Prior to coming to Story City, where he has resided for 20 years, he lived on a farm near Gilbert.
He is survived by his wife and seven children, L. O., Geroge, Ole, Willie Theodore, Mrs. Albert Askelson and Miss Minnie Jacobson, all of whom live near Story City.

JACOB H. JACOBSON FUNERAL ON FRIDAY

STORY CITY - Funeral services for Jacob H. Jacobson, 75, who died at his home near Story City Tuesday morning. will be held Friday afternoon at 2:00 p. m. at the St. Petri Lutheran with the Rev. W. B. Scarvie in charge. Burial will be in the Story City cemetery. Short services will be held at the home at 1:30.
Mr. Jacobson. a former member of the Story county board of supervisors and a former mayor of Story City, spent most of his life on a farm one mile north of Gilbert. He moved to Story City in 1912. Mr. Jacobson was born in Norway and came to th > United States while still a young man.
Mr. Jacobson was president of the Farmers' Mutual Insurance company and was a director of the Gilbert Savings bank.
Besides his wife, seven children survive. During the past year Mr. Jacobson suffered with cancer of the stomach.
