MRS. EDGAR M. DEAL RITES HELD MONDAY

ZEARING — Funeral services for Mrs. Edgar M. Deal was held from the Evangelical church here Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. Mr. McClelland of Waterloo in charge assisted by the Rev. Mr. Baumgartner of Zearing. Mrs. Deal, 45, died at a Marshalltown hospital Saturday following an operation.

Born near Ostego, O., Mrs. Deal has made her home in Zearing community since she was 11 years of age. She was married to Edgar M. Deal in 1901. Besides her husband nine children survive. They are Eva, Thelma, Elva, Virgil, Paul and Wayne, all at home; Mrs. Mabel Roberts of Chicago, Merle of Chicago and Harold whose whereabouts is unknown. One brother, Charles E. Norman, lives at Zearing.

Business houses of Zearing closed Monday afternoon during the funeral.
