FAY HUGHES DIES

Word has been received in Ames of the death of Fay Hughes this morning at 6 o'clock following a stroke of paralysis at the home of his sister, Mrs. Clarence Wax at Colo.

No funeral arrangements have yet been made.

Funeral services will be held at the Clarence Wax home Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock.

Fay Hughes Rites Held Here Monday

Funeral services for Fay Hughes, 53, nephey of Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Childs, 911 Clark avenue, Ames, were held Monday afternoon at the Church of Christ. Burial was in the Ames cemetery. The Rev. H. A. Browning was in charge of the services.

Mr. Hughes lived at the Child's home for about 25 years. At the time of his death, which occured Monday following a stroke, he was making his home with his sister, Mrs. Clarence Wax at Colo. Mrs. Wax was his only close relative. Mr. Hughes never married.
