Sister of Former Roland Resident is Buried Today

ROLAND, Jan. 8, - Miss Mary Hovland, 47, sister of Mrs. Weir Tjellmeland, formerly of Roland, but now of Story City, died of cancer Sunday at the Lutheran hospital at Des Moines.

Funeral services were held this afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Salem church of Roland. The Rev. Mr. Holm was in charge of the services. Interment was in the Roland cemetery.

Miss Hovland had many distant relatives and friends in the Roland community. She was a native of Norway. She considered her sister's home her real home, altho employed in Des Moines.
