Esther Forbell, 69, Boone, died of respiratory failure Friday at the Boone County Hospital, Boone. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Schroeder Memorial Chapel in Boone. Burial will be in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Gilbert.
Esther Sorenson was born in Story County to Soren and Lula (Huffmeister) Sorenson. On June 8, 1941, she married Herbert Forbell in Peoria, Ill. She worked as a homemaker.
She is survived by her husband, Herbert Forbell of Boone; a daughter Lani Forbell of Boone; a brother, Arnold Sorenson of Story City; and a sister Marie White of Boone.
Visitation will be today, Monday, until 8 p.m. and Tuesday until the time of services.
Schroeder Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
