Norma LaVonne (Anderson) Ritz, 69, of Huntington Beach, Calif., and formerly of Nevada, died Thursday, April 25, of heart failure at her home.

She was born Feb. 23, 1933, in LeGrand to Edward and Inger (Thorsbakken) Anderson. She graduated from Nevada High School in 1951. She graduated from the University of Northern Iowa. She taught school in State Center. She married George Ritz on Aug. 28, 1959.

Survivors include her husband; four sons, George Ritz Jr., Gregg Ritz, Geoff Ritz and Andrew Ritz, all of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one sister, Marilyn Hill of Radcliffe; and two brothers, Richard Anderson of Sheldahl and Edward Anderson Jr. of Nevada.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters and two brothers.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, May 11, at 11 a.m. at Memorial Lutheran Church in Nevada. The Cremation Society of South Bay in Redondo Beach, Calif., has handled arrangements.
