JAMES ANDERSON
Feb. 15, 1936 to Nov. 20 1992James F. Anderson, 56, of Maxwell died of pancreatitis at Veterans Hospital, Des Moines.
He was born to Frederick W. and Mabel (Dugger) Anderson at Maxwell. He lived in Story County his entire life, except for the time he was in the service as a member of the Army, Navy and Sea Bees. He worked as a carpenter and electrician.
Survivors include one son, James W. Anderson of Carlisle; one daughter, Jody Cordes of Allison; his mother, Mabel Anderson of Collins; five grandchildren; two brothers, Joe Anderson of Colo and Max Anderson of Collins; two sisters, Wanda Oswalt and Marjorie, both of Collins; and a special friend, Carol Heaberlin of Maxwell.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick W. Anderson and one infant daughter and one infant granddaughter.
Funeral services were held Monday at 2 p.m. at Chet Ryan Morturary, Nevada, with the Rev. Penny Hansel officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Cemetery, Collins. A memorial fund has been established.

James F. Anderson, 56, of Maxwell died of pancreatitus Friday at Veterans Medical Center in Des Moines. Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada. Burial, with military rites, will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Collins.
Mr. Anderson was born in Maxwell and lived there several years. He was a carpenter and electrician, a veteran of both the Army and the Navy and a member of the Maxwell Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion.
Survivors include a son, James of Carlisle; a daughter, Jody Cordes of Allison; his mother, Mabel Anderson of Collins; two brothers, Joe of Colo and Max of Collins; two sisters, Wanda Oswalt and Marjorie Sargent, both of Collins; and five grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was engaged to marry Carol Heaberlin of Maxwell.
Friends may call after 2 p.m. today at the mortuary, where the family will be present from 2 to 4 p.m.
