Mrs. Virginia Meimann, 81, of McCallsburg, died Wednesday, June 18, at Story County Hospital in Nevada. Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday, June 23, at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing with Father Rick Dagit officiating. Visitation will from 5 to 8 tonight with a rosary at 7:30 p.m. at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing. Burial will be in St. Patrick's Catholic Cemetery in Nevada.

Virginia was born Sept. 1, 1926, in Lamoille, to George and Ellen (Bohnsack) Rule. She moved to McCallsburg in 1936. She married Bernard Meimann Jan. 1, 1946, in St. Anthony. She was dietary supervisor at Story County Hospital in Nevada, retiring in 1988. She was a member of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church in Zearing; the Samuel-Reid American Legion Auxiliary unit No. 334, of McCallsburg; and St Gabriel's Ladies Guild. She was an Iowa Hospice patient.

She is survived by three sons, Terry Meimann, of Nevada, Kenneth (Jacki) Meimann, of McCallsburg, and Gary (Ricki) Meimann, of Little Rock, Ark.; three daughters, Theresa (Gary) Donald, of Huntsville, Ala., Denise (Rick) Tjelmeland, of McCallsburg, and Cecelia (Kevin) Christianson, of Zearing; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Loren Rule, of Zearing, Lyman (Lois) Rule, of Zearing, and Richard (Mary Beth) Rule of Westminster, Colo.; and one sister, Rachel Rhodes, of Fort Smith, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Bernard Meimann, on May 30, 1954; one son, Alan Meimann; two granddaughters; and one sister, Mary.

Fredregill Funeral Home in Zearing is in charge of arrangements.
