Mrs. Nora (Arvie) G. Jacobson, 77, Story City, died Tuesday afternoon, Feb. 12, at Mary Greeley Hospital, Ames.
She was born March 28, 1902 in Stanhope to Nels N. and Hulda Fardal. She married Arvie Jacobson Nov. 25, 1925.
Mrs. Jacobson had been the organist at Salem Lutheran Church in Roland for 25 years and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. Survivors include her husband, Arvie; one daughter, Mrs. Donna (Dewayne) Kammin, Story City; three sons, Richard of Iowa City, Paul of Des Moines and Allen of Florida; eight grandchildren; one brother, Guy Fardal of Fort Wayne, Ind.; and one sister, Emma Wierson, of Story City.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister.
Services will be Friday, Feb. 15, at 1:30 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City. Rev. Orville Sanderson will officiate and burial will be in Story City Municipal Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home, Story City, until time of service.
