Dennis Lynn Twedt, 34, of Ames, died Tuesday, October 20, 1981 at Knoxville, Iowa, of injuries suffered in a pedestrian accident.
He was born Oct. 27, 1946 in Ames, the son of Floyd J. Twedt and Grace Tendall Twedt. He attended the Nevada Schools.
Dennis graduated from Waldorf College. After serving in the army in Vietnam, he attended Iowa State University. He was a machinist and janitor and had resided in Ames in recent years.
He is survived by his parents; two brothers, Arlen of Ankeny and John of Gilbert; a sister, Nancy Baker of North Hollywood, Calif.; two grandmothers, Allie Twedt and Christine Tendall, both of Story City; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, at Memorial Lutheran Church, Nevada, with Pastor Walter Lack officiating. Burial will follow in the Roland Cemetery.
