Rexford Lowell Hughes, 11, son of Loyd and Loretta Hughes of RR2, Ames, Ia., died Saturday, Nov. 2, 1985, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
The Hughes boy was a student in Nevada Community Schools and at the time of his death was a sixth grader at Milford School.
death was the result of suffocation. He had fallen into a load of corn.
Survivors include his parents; a younger sister, Teri Lynn; paternal grandmother, Edna Hughes of Nevada, and maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Hoberland of Nevada.
Funeral services will by Tuesday, Nov. 5, at 2 p.m. at the Nevada United Methodist Church with Rev. Ernest Larson officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery in Milford Township.
Visitation was held Monday at 6 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Roland.
