Passed Away Monday Night Of Cerebral Hemorrhage

Delbert H. Sowers, 57, died Monday night at 7 o'clock, at the Nevada sanitarium of a cerebral hemorrhage. He had been in ill health for a number of years.
Funeral service was held yesterday at 2 o'clock in the Adams chapel with the Rev. H. K. Hawley of the Congregational church in charge. Burial was in the Ames cemetery.

Youngest Son
He was the youngest son of Geo. and Margaret Sowers, who were pioneer settlers of Story county, coming here in 1853 and taking a claim at what is now Story City.
Mr. Sowers worked for the American Express company in Ames for a number of years and also farmed. He is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Sarah Hughes of Perry and Mrs. Minda Young of Primghar, two brothers, Charles W. Sowers of Wiley, Colo., and Elmer E. Sowers of Ames. Two older brothers, James and Thomas preceded him in death.
