Louis Selmer Larson, 71, of Story City, Iowa passed away Sunday, May 4, 2008 at Bethany Manor in Story City. A memorial service was planned for Wednesday, May 7 at SoderstrumLarson Funeral Home in Story City at 10:30 a.m.. Burial followed in the Story City Municipal Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday, May 6 from 5 - 7 p.m. at Soderstrum-Larson Funeral Home in Story City.

Louis Selmer Larson was born August 18, 1936 to Elisa and Anna Larson. He married Joyce Templer June 11, 1966 at Grace United Methodist Church in Story City. Louis worked in construction for 30 years. He was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and enjoyed woodworking, especially clocks and toys, and watching NASCAR.

Louis is survived by his wife, Joyce of Story City; a brother, Franklin Larson of Forest City, Iowa; and two sisters, Eleanor Sheldahl of Forest City, and Judy Larson of Forest City.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Loree Larson; a sister, (his twin) Lois Larson; and two brothers, (twins) Elmer and Alvin Larson; and one nephew, Johnny Larson.

Memorials may be sent to the American Heart Association in his name.
