Ruetta M. Carlson, 95, of Story City, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2008 at the Bethany Manor Nursing Home in Story City. No services are planned.

Ruetta was born August 3, 1912 in Milford Township, Story County, Iowa to Albert and Isabelle (Boyd) Eggland. She graduated from Roland High School and married Al Carlson on August 23, 1934. They resided in Des Moines. Ruetta worked for Meredith Publishing, Younkers and Norman Cassidy's. Following Al's retirement in 1973, they moved to Sun City, Arizona. Al passed away on March 29, 1992 and Ruetta entered Bethany Manor in 2004.

She is survived by eight nieces and nephews.
