July 23, 1943-April 19, 2008

Barb Olsan, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, died Saturday, April 19, at her home. Funeral services will at 3 p.m. Thursday, April 24, at St. Petri Lutheran Church in Story City.

Visitation with the family will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 23, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City.

Barb was born July 23, 1943, in Ames, to Milton and Dorothy (Taylor) Sheldahl and grew up in Slater and Ankeny. She married Paul Olsan June 9, 1962, in Des Moines, and they have two children, Julie (Bill) DeVine, of Lee's Summit, Mo., and Doug (Shelly) Olsan, of Huxley, and six grandchildren.
