Phyllis V. Harrison, 64 of Nevada died on Friday, April 4, 2008 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Funeral service will be 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, April 9 at the First Assembly of God Church with Pastor Tom Poppe officiating. Burial will follow in the Nevada Municipal Cemetery.

Phyllis was born on April 22, 1943 in Audubon to Leonard J. and Eloise M. (Wenig) Franz. She was a Nevada High School graduate. On December 1, 1961, Phyllis married Garry D. Harrison at the First Assembly of God Church in Nevada. She was a homecare provider. Phyllis loved to entertain and be with her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her husband Garry Harrison; 2 daughters, Sheila (Chuck) Smith, Shari Filbrandt; 2 sons, David (Pita) Harrison and Doug Harrison, all of Nevada; 8 grandchildren, Jordan, Jaclyn, Ashlee, Brandi, Christian, Rachel, Macy, and Alizaya; a brother, David Franz of Yucaipa, CA; 3 sisters, Marilyn Berry of Mira Loma, CA, Jeannette Burton of Santa Clara, CA and Gayle (Lloyd) Havel of Bondurant; and a sister-in-law, Gloria Franz of Huxley.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Meredith Franz.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 8 with the family present at Chet Ryan Mortuary and Cremation Services, 708 Fifth Street in Nevada.

A memorial fund has been established.
