Shirley (McBride) Smith, 62, died Wednesday, March 12, at Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, S.D. Services were today at United Methodist Church in Spirit Lake.

Shirley (McBride) Smith was born Nov. 11, 1945, in Boone, and graduated from Nevada High School. She lived most of her adult life in the Milford and Spirit Lake area.

She is survived by her husband, Edwin Smith, of Spirit Lake; her father, Marvin McBride, of Nevada; one sister, Carol Gammon, of Ames; one brother, Martin McBride, of Des Moines; three stepbrothers, Rick, Jim and John Hunter, and one stepsister, Dixie Hein, all of Nevada.
