Rita Mary (Carmody) Ingham, 69, passed away Sunday, January 6, 2008 at her home in Des Moines of cardiac complications. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 10, 2008 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 8301 Aurora Avenue, Urbandale. Interment will be at 2:00 PM Thursday in St. James Cemetery, Colo, IA. Visitation was held Wednesday at Caldwell Raddatz Funeral Chapel, 8201 Hickman Road, Urbandale. Online condolences may be posted at www.caldwellraddatz.com.

Rita was born May 17, 1938 in Cedar Rapids, IA. She graduated from Colo High School in 1956. She was married to Marvin Ingham for 15 years and together they had 5 children. Rita was trained as a nurse aide and was a homemaker most of her adult life. She was deeply loved by her children and she cherished spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children; Vicki (Dick) Larimer of Urbandale; Gary (Darla) Ingham of Nevada, IA; Connie (Joe) Moon of Sugar Grove, IL; Todd (Rebecca) Ingham of Urbandale: and Curt (Allison) Ingham of Ankeny, IA. She also leaves 15 grandchildren and many friends and extended family in Nevada, Colo, Story City, Lenox, and Des Moines. She was preceded in death by her parents, Elaine and Abe Janes, and her special grandparents, Thomas and Florence Carmody.

Memorials may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Association or the Animal Rescue League.
