Stacia Jean Carlson, 38, of Davenport, Iowa, died Monday, Dec. 26, 2005 at her home. Funeral services were held at 9:00 a.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 at Weerts Funeral Home, Davenport, and at 3:00 p.m. Monday, Jan. 2, 2006 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Story City, Iowa. The family received friends from 8:30 a.m. until 9:00 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Burial followed at the Story City Municipal Cemetery, Story City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the family.

Stacia Jean Johnson was born Aug. 7, 1967 to Darrell and Linda (Lettow) Johnson in Ames, Iowa. Stacia attended Jefferson Community Schools in Jefferson, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

On May 19, 1999, Stacia was united in marriage to Kurt Michael Carlson. Stacia's life was spent as a loving and devoted mother and her husband's best friend.

Those left to honor Stacia's memory include her devoted husband Kurt Carlson of Davenport; three children, Jacob, Jordan and Jade Peters of Des Moines, Iowa; two step-children, Zach and Nick Carlson of Rock Island, Illinois; her parents, Darrell and Linda Johnson of Omaha, Nebraska; her brother and sister-in-law, Marty and Brenda Johnson of Norwalk, Iowa; her brother, Corey Johnson of Des Moines, Iowa; four nieces and three nephews. Stacia was preceded in death by her grandparents.
