Warren S. Lofstedt, age 79 of Mission, Kansas, passed away Monday, Dec. 12, 2005 at his home. Visitation was held Friday, Dec. 16, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City, with following at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Randall.

Warren was a Navy Veteran of World War II and served in the South Pacific on the USS Warren, APA 53. He has lived in the Kansas City area since 1947. He retired from Armour and Co. after 31 years, then operated a Lawn Service. He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Prairie Village, Kansas, the American Legion, and the VFW.

Warren was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Glenwood, Minnesota, to William and Mable Lofstedt.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Charlotte Ilia; three children: Kevin of Overland Park, Kansas; Kristen Armstrong (Mike) of Frisco, Texas; Jan Schmid (Mark) of Overland Park; five grandchildren: Cody, Marlee and Brett Armstrong and Eric and Brian Schmid.
