Harlan G. Twedt, 75, of Little Rock, Arkansas passed away Thursday, Nov. 28, 2007. He was born May 8, 1932, in Roland, Iowa to the late Hiram and Gertie Twedt. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Harlan retired from the UAMS Animal Research Department. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and baseball. Harlan's heart was always set on Iowa and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Harlan was preceded in death by his brother, Darwin Twedt; and brother-in-law, Askel Sampson. Surviving are three sons and their wives, Kevin and Allyce Twedt, Bruce and Rose Twedt and Brian and Lori Twedt; one daughter and her husband, Mary and Paul Cantrell; his former spouse, Beverly Twedt; three grandchildren, Brennan Taylor, Jordan Twedt and Shelby Twedt; six siblings, Olive Sampson, Alvin "Bud" (Elaine) Twedt, Shirley (Virgil) Woster, Charlotte (Paul) Frandsen, Mary (Wayne) Tjelmeland and Paul (Patti) Twedt; and sister-in-law, Roberta Twedt.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2007, at Griffin Leggett Forest Hills Funeral Home in Alexander, Arkansas (501-455-1067). Interment followed at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Little Rock, Arkansas. The family wishes to thank Golden Years Manor in Lonoke, Arkansas for their special care of Harlan over the years.
