Lizzie Lucretia Holmes, 89, passed away at northwest Hospital in Des Moines Tuesday afternoon. She had been a longtime Collins resident before having moved to Des Moines to live with her daughter after the death of her husband 5 years ago. She was a member of the Collins Christian Church.

Services will be held at the Collins Christian Church Friday, Nov. 30th at 1:30 p.m. burial will be in the Collins Evergreen Cemetery. Rev. David Shaeffer will officiate.

She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Clarence (Mabel) Palmer of Des Moines, and Mrs. Margaret Accola of Slater; 4 grandchildren; 13 great-grand and 2 great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Walter, and one son.

Friends may call at the Cooper Funeral Home in Maxwell.
