THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Friday, November 30, 2007.
Jenora Tressler, 99 years young, died peacefully Monday, Nov. 26, in Centennial, Colo. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 3, at Soderstrum Funeral Home in Story City. Burial will be in Center Cemetery, rural Story City.
Jenora Jacobson was born in Gilbert, later married Byron Tressler, and made her home in northern Minnesota for many years. She devoted her life to her family and her church, setting an example of love to those around her.
She is survived by her sister, Irene Mabbitt, of Fredericksburg, Va.; one sister-in-law, Arlene Jacobson, of Story City; two daughters, Marcia Wielinski, of Forest Lake, Minn., and Joann (Gary) Sjolander, of Littleton, Colo.; one granddaughter, Christine (Tim) Davis; two grandsons, Toby Sjolander and Rob (Beth) Wielinski; two great-granddaughters, Grace and Bella Davis; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Byron; three brothers; and two sisters.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to St. Petri Lutheran Church, 804 Grand, Story City, IA, 50248, or Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 116 Highway 92 SW, Clearbrook, Minn., 56634.
Her loving spirit continues to fill our hearts with light.
