Marjorie Anderson, 83, of Ames, died Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Mary Greeley Medical Center. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Adams Funeral Home, with the service following at 11 a.m.

Marjorie Anderson died Wednesday, Nov. 28, in Ames. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 1, at Adams Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in Ames Municipal Cemetery.

Marjorie Janice (Musfelt) Anderson was born May 24, 1924, in Clarion, the daughter of George and Millicent (Bouma) Musfelt. They moved to Fort Dodge, where she attended schools and worked for the Lutheran Hospital.

She married Gordon Anderson Feb. 15, 1947, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. They moved to Ames and were members of Bethesda Lutheran Church.

She taught Sunday school and was a member of the Married Couples Group. She also was active in Campfire Girls and bowling. She enjoyed sewing and gardening. She worked at Mary Greeley Medical Center and McFarland Clinic, retiring in 1985.

She is survived by her children, John (Jean) Anderson, of Anchorage, Alaska, Joyce (Steve) Tripmacker, of Muscatine, Carol (Derril) Marshall, of Fremont, Neb., Pam (Earl) McWilliams, of Harrisville, R.I., Kay Popelka, of Ames, and Dean (Julie) Anderson, of Daytona Beach, Fla. She also is survived by eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers; and two sisters.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
