Dorothy Jill (Frisbie) Sigler, 54, of Nevada, died Friday, Sept. 14, of injuries sustained in a pedestrian/car accident in Nevada. A prayer service will be at 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Chet Ryan Mortuary, 708 Fifth St., in Nevada, with the family receiving friends until 7 p.m. A celebration of Jill's life will continue following the visitation at the residence of Dennis and Kat Tichenor, 64884 260th St., in rural Nevada.

Jill was born June 17, 1953, in Des Moines, to Charles Harold and Ila Jean (Walker) Frisbie. She was a 1971 graduate of Clear Lake High School and attended South Dakota University in Aberdeen, S.D. She married Timothy Earl Sigler Feb. 12, 2002, in Nevada. Her main job objective was to put smiles on people's faces, and she achieved that as a cashier at both Nevada Ace Hardware and Smitty's Grocery Store in Nevada. She loved life and spending time with family and friends. She also enjoyed reading and gardening.

She is survived by her husband, Tim Sigler; her parents, C.H. and Ila Frisbie, of Clear Lake; five sons, Steve (Corrie) Mailey, Jeb (Katrina) Sigler, Jeremy Sigler, and Jacob Sigler, all of Nevada, and Abe Sigler (girlfriend, Margaret Casey Owen), of Ames; one daughter, Sara Mailey, of Nevada; two brothers, Mike and David Frisbie, both of Clear Lake; one sister, Diane (Bruce) Rich, of Sacramento, Calif.; five grandchildren, Bowen, Kierra, Sydny, Riley, and Maycie; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.

Chet Ryan Mortuary in Nevada is in charge of arrangements.
