Dale D. Prescott, 91, died Thursday, Aug. 23, at Israel Family Hospice House in Ames. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 1, at Bacon Funeral Home in Nevada.

Dale D. Prescott was born June 18, 1916, in Popejoy, to Miles L. and Emma A. (VanGundy) Prescott. He married Marjorie (Cooper) Prescott May 21, 1938, in Nevada. She preceded him in death Nov. 13, 2003.

He is survived by one sister-in-law, Joan (Kermit) Lenning, of Nevada; two brothers-in-law, Robert (Maxine) Cooper and Virgil Brooks, both of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one son, Stuart at birth; one brother, Virgil Cole; and one sister, Hope Cox.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to Israel Family Hospice House in Ames.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory is in charge of arrangements.
