THE AMES TRIBUNE, Ames, Story County, Iowa, Wednesday, August 8, 2007.

Madeline Josephine Hanson, 87, of Ames, died Friday, August 3, at Mary Greeley Medical Center in Ames.

Madeline was born Jan. 3, 1920, in Ellsworth, the daughter of Edward and Marie (Elwood) Johnson. She married Leslie "Les" Hanson in 1957.

She was a homemaker and attended Bethel Lutheran Church in Story City. She enjoyed embroidering, gardening and loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild.

She is survived by her husband, Les; one daughter, Linda (Kim) Kruse, of Ames; one brother, Kenny Johnson, of Ames; two grandchildren, Nicole and Brandon; and one great-grandchild, Cory.

The body has been cremated and no services are planned at this time.

Bacon Funeral Home and Crematory was in charge of arrangements.
